How escrow protects you

You pay at booking
Funds go into escrow. The creator cannot access them yet.

Session happens
You meet, the experience takes place, and the booking is marked complete.

Creator is paid
Escrow releases to the creator's wallet. Only after completion.

If something goes wrong

If the creator doesn't show, cancels last-minute, or delivers something significantly different from what was promised, you can file a dispute. Our team reviews both sides and makes a decision — including a full or partial refund where appropriate.

✓Creator doesn't confirm within 24 hours → automatic full refund
✓Creator cancels → refund based on cancellation policy
✓Creator no-shows → full refund after dispute filed
✓Experience differs significantly from what was described → file a dispute within 48 hours

Never pay a creator outside the Velvet Africa platform — via mobile money, cash, or any other channel. Off-platform payments are not covered by escrow or dispute protection. There is no recourse if something goes wrong.
