How booking on Velvet Africa works

Velvet Africa is a booking marketplace for massage, wellness and companionship across Africa. It exists because the informal market runs on trust with nothing behind it: you cannot tell who is real, and neither side has any recourse when something goes wrong. Verification and protected payment are what the platform adds.

Browse verified creators

Every creator completes an ID and liveness check before they can take a booking. Prices are shown up front in the creator’s own currency, converted to yours — no negotiating in a DM.

Pay Velvet, not a stranger

You pay Velvet, not the creator. Velvet sends the creator half when you book, and the rest only after the meetup. If the creator cancels or does not come, you can ask Velvet for your money back.

Meet with safety tools running

Confirmed bookings carry a Safe-Arrival timer, in-app location sharing and a distress alert. You can report any account and a person reviews it.
