We take the safety of every user and creator seriously. Here's how we protect every interaction on our platform.
Platform Safety Features
Verified Creators
Creators can confirm their identity with an ID check and a live likeness video with a one-time code. Verified creators carry a Verified badge. Unverified creators can still be booked, so check the badge before you book.
Protected Payments
You pay Velvet, not the creator. Velvet sends the creator half when you book, and the rest only after the meetup is confirmed by QR scan or location check. If the creator cancels or does not come, you can ask Velvet for your money back.
Live Safety Check-ins
During active bookings, our platform sends periodic check-in prompts. Missed check-ins trigger an automatic alert.
SOS Emergency Button
A discreet SOS button is available on every active booking screen. One tap alerts our safety team and shares your last known location.
Block & Report
You can block any user or creator at any time. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours.
Anonymous Reviews
Reviews are published without personally identifying information so you can be honest without fear of retaliation.
For Users
Before every booking, we recommend:

Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to be back.
- 🏅
Check the verified badge. Creators without it can still be booked, so read their profile and reviews first.
- 💬
You may share a phone number or social handle, but Velvet cannot protect a booking or payment made outside the platform. Book on Velvet to stay protected.
For Creators
Your safety is just as important. Here's how to protect yourself:
- ⚙️
Set clear service boundaries on your profile. You are never obligated to accept a booking that makes you uncomfortable.
- 👻
Use Ghost Mode to go private when you need a break. Your profile will not appear in search while ghost mode is on.
- 🚫
Block and report any client who behaves inappropriately. Our moderation team acts on all reports within 24 hours.
