Our Story

About Velvet Africa

A booking platform for verified creators across Africa.

Our Mission

We connect verified, professional creators with clients who appreciate quality, privacy, and authenticity. Creators confirm their identity with an ID check and a live likeness video before they can accept bookings, and verified creators display a Verified badge. We believe that the people on both sides of every booking deserve safety, transparency, and a platform that genuinely works for them.

What We Stand For

✅

Verified First

Creators confirm their identity with an ID check and a live likeness video, using a one-time code. Verified creators display a Verified badge, and unverified accounts cannot accept bookings.

🔒

Safe by Design

Payments through Velvet, live safety check-ins, an in-app SOS button, and block & report tools protect every interaction.

How It Works

  1. 01

    Browse creators

Filter by city, service, and rating to find the right match for you.

  2. 02

    Book and pay securely

You pay Velvet, not the creator. Velvet sends the creator half when you book, and the rest after your meetup is confirmed by QR scan.

  3. 03

    Experience and review

Leave an honest review to help the community and reward great creators.

Open to creators and clients across Africa. Deepest inventory in Uganda and Kenya today, with Nigeria, South Africa, Mali, Benin, Ghana, Tanzania and Rwanda open and growing.
