How does mobile home-service massage work in Lagos? You book a creator who travels to your home, hotel or serviced apartment, agree an arrival window rather than a fixed minute, and pay through checkout so the money is held by Velvet until the session is confirmed. The therapist brings what is needed; you provide a quiet room, a clear space and a name for the gate.
How paying works on Velvet: you pay Velvet, not the creator. Velvet sends the creator half when you book, and the rest only after the meetup. If the creator cancels or does not come, you can ask Velvet for your money back.
Key takeaways
- A home-service session means the creator comes to you. Each profile says whether they offer visits, studio sessions or both.
- Agree an arrival window, because Lagos traffic makes exact times unreliable, especially between the Island and the Mainland.
- Tell your estate gate, building front desk or hotel reception that a visitor is coming, with the creator's name.
- Book and pay through Velvet. Look for the verified badge, tell a friend and use the safe-arrival timer on your confirmed booking.
- Prices are set by each creator and shown on the profile; a visit may include a travel allowance.
What does mobile home-service massage in Lagos mean?
"Home service" simply means the session happens where you are. Some creators work only from a studio or spa. Others travel, and a few do both. Phrases like "executive home service" on classified ads usually mean a visit to an office or a hotel for a busy professional. On Velvet you do not have to guess: the profile lists the services and the areas the creator covers, and you read the cancellation policy before you pay.
A visit has benefits. You stay where you are, you do not sit in go-slow before and after, and you control the space. The trade-off is that the creator carries the travel, and you carry the preparation.
How do arrival windows work?
Lagos traffic is unpredictable. A trip that is short on a quiet Sunday morning can take much longer on a weekday evening or in heavy rain. Because of that, a good booking uses a window, for example 30 to 45 minutes, instead of a precise minute. Ask for it when you book, write it in the booking and tell the gate the same window.
- Book earlier in the day if you need a firm start time.
- Allow a buffer after the session before your next commitment.
- Message if you are delayed, and agree whether the session will be shortened or moved.
- Check the cancellation policy on the profile for late cancellations.

Can a therapist come to my hotel in Lagos?
Often yes, but hotels have their own rules. Before you book, ask the front desk two questions: are outside visitors allowed in rooms, and until what hour? Then tell reception the creator's name and the time window, and give the creator the hotel name, the room number or a meeting point in the lobby. Some guests prefer to meet in the lobby first; that is reasonable and many hotels prefer it.
Serviced apartments and estates work the same way. A guard who is not told about a visitor can hold the creator at the gate, and the session shortens or fails. A one-line message to the gate in advance fixes most problems.
What to prepare for a home massage
- A quiet, warm room with space for a table or a firm bed. Switch off the TV and put pets in another room.
- Clean towels or sheets, in case the creator asks. Say if you have allergies to oils or lotions.
- Light. If power cuts are common where you live, have a rechargeable lamp or know when the generator or inverter will cover the room.
- Privacy for the session. Let others in the house know you are not to be disturbed.
- Parking or a clear route for the creator, and a phone number the gate can call.
How to book step by step
- Choose your area and look for creators who cover it. The Lagos hub links to the main areas.
- Read the profile for services, session length, price, travel notes and cancellation policy.
- Check the verified badge. It means the creator completed an ID check and a short identity video.
- Book and pay Velvet. Velvet holds the payment and releases it after the session is confirmed.
- Notify the gate or reception with the creator's name and the window.
- Share your plan. Tell a friend and use the safe-arrival timer on your confirmed booking.
- Confirm the session and review. Reviews come from verified bookings only.
You can call or message the creator to agree the details. Payments made through Velvet are protected by payment protection and the dispute process; money sent outside Velvet is not covered. For a wider walkthrough, read how to book a massage in Lagos safely.
Is a visit better than a spa?
It depends on what you value. A visit saves travel and gives you privacy; a spa gives you a dedicated room and set hours. Our comparison spa or mobile therapist in Lagos: which to pick sets out time, travel, price and safety side by side.
Safety and red flags
- A deposit or transport money to a personal account. Do not send it. Pay at checkout.
- A creator who will not give the arrival window or the details you asked for.
- Someone who arrives who is not the person on the profile. Do not let them in. Contact Velvet and use Block and Report.
- Requests to turn off your phone or to keep the visit secret from your friend.
- Anything that makes you uncomfortable during the session. You can stop it at any time. The SOS button on an active booking alerts the Velvet safety team.
In an emergency in Nigeria call 112 (767 also works in Lagos State).
