Creators marked with a verified badge have completed an ID and liveness check; anyone without one has joined but cannot yet accept bookings. The prices you see are the prices creators set — shown in each creator’s own currency and converted to yours, with no negotiating in a DM.

Payment is held by Velvet Africa in escrow when you book and released to the creator only after the meetup is confirmed, so a no-show is refunded automatically. Reviews can only be written by someone who completed and paid for a booking, which is why there are fewer of them than on a directory — and why they mean something.
