Your Step-by-Step Guide to Booking on Velvet Africa
Velvet Africa is Uganda's premier platform for connecting clients with verified companion and wellness service providers. If you are new to the platform, this guide walks you through every step — from creating your account to completing your first booking — so you know exactly what to expect.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Getting started on Velvet Africa takes less than five minutes. Visit the registration page and sign up with your email address or phone number. You will receive a verification code to confirm your identity. Your personal information is kept strictly private — other users and creators cannot see your contact details.
Once registered, set up your user profile with a display name. You do not need to use your real name. Velvet Africa is designed with privacy as a priority.
Step 2: Browse Creator Profiles
Head to the explore page to browse all available creators. You can filter by:
- Service type (companion, massage, event services, content subscriptions)
- Location (Kampala, Entebbe, Jinja, Mbarara, and more)
- Verification status (filter to show only verified creators)
- Price range
- Rating
Click on any creator's card to open their full profile, which includes their photo gallery, bio, service listings with prices, and client reviews.
Step 3: Check Availability
Many creators on Velvet Africa display their availability calendar on their profile. Check that your preferred date and time is open before proceeding. If the calendar is not visible, you can send a message to the creator directly through the platform to enquire about availability. Messaging is free and does not commit you to a booking.
Step 4: Book and Pay
When you are ready to book, select the service package you want from the creator's profile and proceed to checkout. Velvet Africa accepts:
- MTN Mobile Money
- Airtel Money
- Visa and Mastercard
All payments go through Velvet Africa's secure payment processor. The creator receives their portion of the payment only after the booking is confirmed. Your card or mobile money details are never shared with the creator.

Step 5: What Happens Next
After your payment is confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation via email and in-app notification. The creator is simultaneously notified and will confirm the booking on their end. You can then use the in-app messaging to coordinate specific details — meeting location, any special requests, or arrival time.
All communication before, during, and after the booking stays within the Velvet Africa platform, protecting both parties' privacy.
Safety and Verification
Velvet Africa takes safety seriously. Every creator on the platform has gone through identity verification before being approved to list services. Clients are also verified through phone or email confirmation. In the unlikely event of a problem, Velvet Africa's support team is available to assist with disputes, refunds, or safety concerns.
